My name is Cody Berger and I am the chef/founder of White Crane Hospitality. What started out as a series of pop-up dinners in 2018 quickly snowballed into something I never anticipated. White Crane has now evolved into a small business offering in-home chef services. From plated dinners and family style meals to passed appetizers for cocktail parties, meal prep, extended contracts, and business consulting.

I have worked in the restaurant industry since I was 16 years old. My devotion lead me to study culinary arts at Sullivan University, and I continued to develop my work in the industry afterward. I have cooked for establishments in the middle Tennessee area such as The Hutton Hotel, Grays on Main, Antebellum Restaurant (Flowery Branch, GA), Etch, Homestead Manor, and Deacons New South.

Being a private chef is both exciting and humbling. I love being able to deliver products that fit the clients expectations and tastes for each occasion. Being invited into someone’s home to cook is such a gratifying experience for me. It requires a lot of trust from the client and allows me to build a relationship with them. I get to learn my clients tastes and expectations and craft an experience tailored toward their lifestyle.
